This is the Benitoite specimen, from California, USA, wide around 7.5cm, the biggest crystal wide 0.9cm, minor damage, other small crystals on the main display are intact. Benitoite is a rare gem mineral, and California designated benitoite as the official state gemstone in 1985. This Benitoite has clear geometric crystal shape, adamantine luster, deep blue color, will glow bright blue under UV shortwave, and the more rarely, it will glow pale red under UV longwave. Also sharp blue crystal, on the white matrix, strong color contrast, crystal is outstanding, nice quality Benitoite specimen!
