Apatite, Fluorite

Locality: Linxi Co., Hexigten Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, China.

This is an Apatite and Fluorite association specimen from Inner Mongolia, China, measuring approximately 9cm in width. The Apatite exhibits a bluish-gray color and displays a bright yellow fluorescence under shortwave ultraviolet light. The largest cluster of Apatite crystals measures about 2.4cm wide and is associated with deep purple Fluorite on a Mica-coated matrix. A rare occurrence from this locality!
